nhottinger Posted April 16, 2019 Report post Posted April 16, 2019 Been looking for some recommendations but can't find any. Can MBAM be installed directly on the SCCM server or do they need to be separated on different hardware?
anyweb Posted April 16, 2019 Report post Posted April 16, 2019 depends on the size of the organization, but yes of course it can be installed on the same server, if you have a large number of clients though it's recommended you separate it onto it's own server
nhottinger Posted April 16, 2019 Report post Posted April 16, 2019 We have about 3000 pc's this would be used for management. Would that fall under the "large number"?
anyweb Posted April 16, 2019 Report post Posted April 16, 2019 i don't think so, but if you are in doubt ask your Microsoft TAM for advice. and lastly... The recommended configuration is to install the Administration and Monitoring features on one or more Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring servers, and install Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 or Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager on a separate server. from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-desktop-optimization-pack/mbam-v2/deploying-mbam-with-configuration-manager-mbam2
J.carredano Posted May 3, 2019 Report post Posted May 3, 2019 I have deployed MBAM integrated with SCCM on the following configuration for about 6,000 endpoints - 2 Bitlocker Administration and monitoring Servers (Web Server) with a NLB in front. - MBAM DBs on the SCCM DB server.
