SCCM 2007 Client installed but not assigned to Site

Question

We are demoing SCCM 2007 SP1...I followed the instructions posted on this blog (thanks they were very helpful) All is going well until I deploy the client. I used the following installation properties:

ccmsetup.exe SMSSITECODE=%sitename% CCMHOSTNAME=%FQDN% SMSSLP=%HostName% DNSSUFFIX=%DNSSuffix% SMSMP=%ManagementPointHostName% SMSCACHESIZE=8000

We have published the service in DNS (via Win 2000) and pushed the client to the xp machine. We also tried manually installing the client and manually entering the site code and DNS Suffix into the control panel utility.

This is our site configuration:

Domain: Win 2000 Domain AD Schema "not" extended.

Server: SCCM 2007 SP1 R2 on Win 2k8 Enterprise joined to my domain Firewall off

Client: Win XP SP3 Firewall off

If any one has any ideas please respond.
