Problem deploying HP Software and Drivers

Question

Hi,

I've set up an environment which in the future is going to deploy win7 to several computers.

When going trough various guides and similar, I can't find any way to make the HP 3D Drive guard driver and the driver for Quicklaunch install.

Does any of you have it working? Incase, how?

At the moment it's setup as a software package (one per driver/software).

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Supposedly protects your hdd when in movement.

It's a driver/software issue..

I've tried adding all drivers in respective folders (.ini files) and added the rest that HP computers require (such as Quicklaunchbuttons ect.) as a software installation.

When the test-machine boots up after a successfull win7 installation, the DriveGuard is the only thing still showing with a yellow ! in the device manager.

(not successfull installing the software/driver).

I've tried launching the setup from within a .bat, and that won't work.

I've tried it as a software package (which I had to do with the rest in the same category)

I just don't know how to solve it!

Hello

Have you tried to copy the application to the computer and running it from the computer(in the os deployment task)? Had similar problems with some Lenovo Applications that are both a driver and an application.

One cmd step in the task for copying the application to the client(cmd step with Xcopy -parameters \\server\xxx\"packet id"\ c:\drivers\xxx

then a new cmd step for launching the installation on the client("in the "start in" type c:\drivers\xxx") and then as the command line type something like setup.exe -s

A workaround that worked for me :)
