Ateon Posted February 23, 2010 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 Hello all, I follow the topic "how can I deploy Windows Vista SP1 using SCCM 2007 SP1 part 5." I have SCCM 2007 SP2 installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server, i use MDT 2010 an i try to make a windows 7 X64 image. Anything seems to work fine but when i try to add the captured image to sccm, i have an error such "only VIM file are supported". When configuring the task sequence, i give the complete path for creating the image and give a name with the extension .vim. I run the task 2 times with the same result... Has someone an idea about the problem? Thanks for your help and sorry for my English, i am a French user... nobody's perfect! 0 Peter van der Woude Posted February 23, 2010 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 It should be a WIM file (.wim). You can create a WIM File by using a Build and Capture Task Sequence (Ts). Let the TS run on a machine and it will create a WIM file, this WIM file then should be used in a normal Install TS
