SCCM 2007R2 Install Problems

Question

I am a windows noob through and through. I was given a server with Windows Server 2008 Standard, Version 6.0 (Build6001: Service Pack 1) and a CD that says Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2.

I installed SQL server and all of the other pre-reqs. But my issue is that when I put the CD in, it asks me if I want to install SCCM and I press yes and it goes through a few windows indicating that it is copying files and then says "You have successfully completed the Configuration Manager 2007 R2 Setup Wizard. To read documentation....."

Thats it. What am I missing here? It never asked for site names or any other configuration options. In the menu from Start -> Programs -> Microsoft System Center -> Configuration Manager 2007 -> (1 Icon for documentation)

Is this "console" launched from somewhere else? What do I do next. Sorry, I warned you, I am a noob :(

I also read this "Configuration Manager 2007 R2 is an upgrade release. You must run Setup on an existing Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 site. " Does that mean I need to purchase 2007 SP1 also and install it first?

I was looking at the disk closer and it says Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 (Configuration Manager 2007 with SP1) so I guess I have what I need, but when I run it, there is no pre-req checker and I still get no options for configuration at all. :(

you need the full System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 DVD (or iso)

the R2 release is only a 27mb or so update for the full install of SCCM 2007 listed above

cheers

Thanks I noticed it is only 22.5MB. I downloaded an eval copy of SP1 and for some reason, this time I was able to pick primary site, etc... So we'll see what happens. I guess I got the wrong DVD?
