securing SCCM console

hi there

is there a way to secure the SCCM console , i have several users who will use the SCCM console for daily/monthly tasks like one for deplyoing , the other for software packages and a 3rd for updates ..etc ? any idea how to do that

you need to decide what they need access to then create new user rights in the sccm console, then either customise the console views for those users (or groups of users) or give them full view of the console but limited access...

now all those can be done from the console itself , as from the link you sent it shows customization to the xml files itself

i want it to be basic and simple as one of my clients will have to do that not me

 

another thing is how to install the console on several computers ?

you can install onn multiple workstations no issues, just launch the sccm installer on the workstation and select admin console install....

 

make sure the pc has rights to the DB and DBServer and you should be ok.
