Question

This tutorial shows you how to setup a basic domain controller.

Please notice that this setup doesn’t provide best practices, just a basic installation of a domain controller!

Short overview of the steps to take:

-Install the Active Directory Domain Services role and the .Net framework 3.5.

-Use dcpromo.exe to create a Dynamic Name Server role and complete the Active Directory installation.

-Reboot the server.

-Enjoy your freshly installed Domain Control
