Install Software tasks do not run

So I have setup a Task sequence to install Windows 7. Everything works fine until I get to the Install Software tasks. The Setup Windows and ConfigMgr task runs and then reboots the system into the OS but the Install Software tasks never run. What am I doing wrong.

what does your SMSTS.log file say ?

Would I bring up the command prompt while the Setup Windows and ConfigMgr task runs and then look at the log while it's waiting to reboot.

you can do that and then copy the log onto a usb key and post it here, or let the system boot into windows and find the log in c:\windows\system32\ccm\logs

 

or if it's x64 os then use the syswow64 folder

I'm working on getting the log file. I am curious as after Setup Windows and ConfigMgr task runs what should the system do.

I think I have this fixed. I didn't have my path to the configmgr client correct. I set it to go to the Directory on site server and path of c:\program files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Client. Once I did that it worked fine. Thanks for your help. I'm sure I will need it since I've had I don't know how many issue with SCCM and OSD.
