Zero Touch Windows 7 Deployment

Niall,

 

I wanted detailed explaination for Zero Touch for Windows 7 Deployment,OS used is Windows 2008 R2 and wanted to use SCCM 2007 R2 so is it better or shall i use SCCM 2007 SP2?

 

And i have computer that will work as reference computer.

SCCM 2007 SP2 is REQUIRED for deploying windows 7, the R2 feature pack is only a package that you install on top of SCCM 2007 SP1 or SCCM 2007 SP2 to reveal 'hidden' features.

 

So if you want to deploy Windows 7 with ZTI then use SCCM 2007 SP2, and if you want all the extra features (and you license aggreement allows it) then use SCCM 2007 SP2 R2

Do you know if you have to license SCCM for a Zero Touch Installation? Is the Solution Accelerator only free up to the point you choose ZTI in its menu? I am hoping just other advance SCCM deployment features require a license?
