btb1205e Posted June 10, 2010 Report post Posted June 10, 2010 Having a problem with PXE password in the vNext beta. I've disabled the requirement for a password but it still promps for one when booting the client. If I enable the password requirement, it tells me the password is incorrect when I enter it. Either way it's not working. Any help would be great!!

anyweb Posted November 14, 2010 Report post Posted November 14, 2010 I also saw the problem, as a workaround, don't enter any pxe password for now, that will work fine.

brianleejackson Posted December 21, 2010 Report post Posted December 21, 2010 Thanks OSO... reinstalling PXE server role, WDS, updating PXE distribution points, and re-deploying task sequence got me back up and going. Does anyone know if there is a way yet to actually get PXE working with a password?? Any workaround?
anyweb Posted December 21, 2010 Report post Posted December 21, 2010 for workaround look at my SCCM guides list and try the password in a task sequence..; might work. or wait until the next version of vNext
brianleejackson Posted March 28, 2011 Report post Posted March 28, 2011 Just thought I would let everyone know if you haven't gotten a chance to try yet. I installed Beta 2 today and successfully PXE booted with a password. Yay!
