James Troy Posted June 24, 2010 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 Dear all, I am getting a strange issue with the sccm. The Status Message Queries always return 0 row. Been googling the past hours and cannot find anything concrete that identify the problem. Here's some background: During the first setup (SCCM 2007 R1), everything works fine. However, inthe past few weeks, 2 things happened. 1. I upgraded the installation to R2. 2. The server changes from domain A to domain B (due to site re-architecture). Not sure if the above is causing the "Status Message Queries" screen to return blank. Any pointer is appreciated. James
Peter van der Woude Posted June 24, 2010 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 Probably your last action caused this behaviour, because it is not supported to change the domain membership or computer name for a Configuration Manager 2007 site system after it is installed. Take a look at this post: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/configmgradminconsole/thread/d90b77c0-c6bf-440a-be3f-7a720440a8b9
James Troy Posted June 25, 2010 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 Peter, thx for the quick reply. I don't presume it is a simple matter of "uninstall the sccm", "reinstall sccm", "all the workstations will automatically re=appear assigned and approved"? Peter van der Woude Posted June 25, 2010 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 I'm afraid not... normally I would say, create a new Site, make it a child, let it sync and cut the top Site of again... but in this case it could cause more trouble, as it will probably sync the problems too...
