Multicast WDS over Dell Network Floods ports

Question

Just as topic says. I am trying to multicast over a Dell switched network and the multicast is flooded to all active port on the switch. I am testing on one Dell PowerConnect 3448 connecting to a Cisco 1711 router. I have a DC running 2003 R2 that is handling the DHCP, and a server 2008 for the WDS.

I have connected the switch and router both as a trunk and as a switch port. Same results both ways.

I have enabled Globaly Bridge Multicast Filtering, and IGMP Snooping, and then enabling snooping and autolearn on the vlan.

I know this is not a WDS problem cause I am sure I had the same problems with Ghost. I have been having this problem for years now and when I have a spare moment I try another kick at the cat.

ANY Help welcome. I talked to guys that said that Multicasting just works on cisco gear, but school divisions cannot afford that so I am stuck with the DELL.

And now come commands in the Switch. This is from today after trying all day yesterday to get it to work. (if it makes a difference)

Switch#1# show ip igmp snooping mrouter

VLAN Ports

------- ----------------------------------------

39 g3

Switch#1# show ip igmp snooping groups

Vlan IP Address Querier Ports

------ ------------------------ ------- -----------------------------------

39 224-239.128|0.1.40 Yes g3

39 224-239.255|127.255.250 Yes e(2,30,45)

39 224-239.255|127.255.254 Yes g4

Switch#1# show ip igmp snooping interface 39

IGMP Snooping is globaly enabled

IGMP Snooping is enabled on VLAN 39

IGMP host timeout is 260 sec

IGMP Immediate leave is disabled. IGMP leave timeout is 10 sec

IGMP mrouter timeout is 300 sec

Automatic learning of multicast router ports is enabled

So as you can see the switch sees the router over the trunk on port g3.
