Did a test with a test sequence on a laptop, just does a wipe creates a 300mb and other partition on the box, installs Win7 and the config mgr client. This worked last week, now when pxe boot says the package is not available, the files are there in the pckgd$ directory and in the dist point.
I have had the pxe boot files vanish also, in remote install\smsboot did a pxe boot one morning went through ok, I just disabled a step then the pxe boot did not work. There were DNS server issues the day before and were trying to resolve it when this happened, went to remote install and the directory structure ie x86, x64 etc were there however the directories were empty!
The server is on VMware vsphere, they use snapshots, which also proved to be an issue, snapshot taken, work done, snapshot retrieved and the changes made since the snapshot are there also!
