DirkM Posted August 3, 2010 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 Hi all, Thanks to the excellent guides here I was able to set up SCCM 2007 R2 in a lab environment (domain/forest functional level Windows Server 2003 with 2008 R2 domain controller also hosting SCCM 2007 R2). Now I'm trying to transfer everything over to the production domain with runs on Windows Server 2003/2003 R2 (domain functional level: Windows Server 2003, Forest functional level: Windows Server 2000). In AD users and computers I do not see many of the default containers, namely System and System Management, even though I did set up those containers using ADSI Edit. Now, in the lap environment I am the Enterprise/Schema admin, in production I'm only a domain admin. Could this be the reason why I don't see the System container in AD users and computers? Also, does SCCM 2007 R2 require both the domain and the forest functional level to be at least at Windows Server 2003? I don't see the option in AD users and computers to create a new container and call it System but I don't know if this is due to the forest functional level or due to my priviliges in the domain. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dirk
