Like it or not, the government doesn't want to do a mass exodus to Win7, so we need to capture XP data. I have a four line task sequence. I have advertised it. On the machine I was testing, I installed USMT 3.0.1 and ran this command from the command prompt: scanstate /i:miguser.xml /i:migapp.xml \\fileserver\migration\mystore /nocompress Capture was sucessful.
