KuifJe Posted November 1, 2010 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 Simple question really. What's the difference between an update with a set bulletin ID (say MS10-xxx for a 2010 update) and no bulletin ID?

What's the difference between an update with a set bulletin ID (say MS10-xxx for a 2010 update) and no bulletin ID? Patches which do not have MS Bulletin ID numbers are Hotfixes which are applied to fix Bug on computers. These hotfixes doesnt have any clasification or severiaty rating like Security/critical rating as MS Bulletin ID's have.
