SCCM Win7 Deployment problems

Question

I am trying to follow the "Deploy Windows 7 Enterprise Step by Step guide - 4 Parts" guide.

I have got to the point where i start the target computer for the install then capture of Win7.

My target computer starts a PXE boot, it sees the Pending Request ID and it Contacts the server then Aborts.

The error i get in SCCM is "The SMS PXE Service Point instructed device to boot normally since it has no PXE advertisement assigned."

One of the questions is, i have Associated the computer with the build and capture collection like it says but i don’t ever see it populate into the collection, is that right?

I'm looking for any and all ideas,

Server: 2003 SP2

SCCM 07 SP2

Target Computer: Dell Latitude D810

Let me know if you need any more info

Thanks,

If you are not using SCCM R2 version, then you should import the Target MAC ID or UUID into SCCM Database,in this process it asks you to make this computer part of which collection and then advertise the Task sequence to the collection .Hope you should have done the same process.

If the computer doesnt have any Task sequnces advertised to it,it will not Boot into WinPE until it recives any.

Check if the MAC which you have imported correctly or not and it is part of Targeted collection.
