SCCM 2007 ZTI Windows 7 Deployment Trouble

Good Morning,

 

I am having some issues deploying Windows 7 X86 in my VM lab. I followed the guides step by step and have gone through every troubleshooting guide I could find. What is happening is that when my client PXE boots it gets all the way into WinPE and quits just after "Preparing Network Connections". However, I can verify that the NIC drivers are NOT the problem by opening the command prompt and running ipconfig. It is receiving an IP address no problem. I also checked the SMSPXE.LOG file and it does not appear to have any problems. I have updated all my distribution points, and deleted/recreated my task sequence and re-advertised it. Unless I'm setting up my Task Sequence wrong, I don't know what the issue is. The ONLY thing that I've done differently than the guides is to create a task sequence that does NOT build and capture but instead installs the OS Package directly.

 

See attachment for Screenshots. Below is what prints out in my SMPXE.LOG file. I could not find my SMSTS.LOG file or my ZTIValidate.log file. I'm not sure if they are created yet since it's not getting very far.

1.) Have you enabled "Make boot image available to boot media and PXE" under Advertise Task Sequence options?

2.) Have you enabled "Unknown computer support" in Task Sequence?

But, from the log I provided it appears as if it does recognize the device, otherwise it would not get as far as it had, right?

Interesting, it appears as if I have SCCM 2007 SP2 installed but not R2. Does that matter?

Any thoughts on what could be my problem? I have my Boot Image setup, OS Image, OS Package, Task Sequence, and Advertisement. It just keeps failing at "Preparing Network Connections" once the client boots into WinPE. Any logs I should check?

You have all the necessery drivers added to boot image, particulary network card driver?

P.S. I have couple of more ideas of what could be wrong, i'll try to get that later.

The package for BEN00003 is my Configuration Manager Client Installation, fyi.

can you check,if the packages(BEN00003) are used in Task sequence are avilable in DP or not ? also ensure you have NAAccount is specified ?
