USMT Network Migration

Hi,

 

I have a xp client on domain static ip address, i am going to migrate to windows 7 through SCCM 2007 SP2 R2, my question is USMT it will migrate same static ip address to windows 7, or it will use default dhcp address...

 

please help me...

I think you can achieve that goal already by using a step Capture Network Settings (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680640.aspx) and later a step Apply Network Settings.

I have tried it, its captured same computer name, no hope in the cause of static ip address. its not migrated as static

can you enable verbose logging, and paste any relevant parts from scanstate.log, scanstateprogress.log please ? does it mention capturing your network settings, if so perhaps we only have a loadstate problem
