WSUS issue cannot connect to database

Hello,

 

We are having issues when trying to download MS updates in SCCM2007 we are receiving WSUS errors unable to connect to database, Is it ok to remove and reinstall WSUS?

 

After running WSUSUtil.exe we receive the following error:

 

Fatal Error: Cannot open database SUSDB requested by the login. The login Failed.

 

 

SMS WSUS Configuration Manager failed to configure proxy settings on WSUS Server "CICASCCM".

 

 

Any feedback would be great.
