Hello:i have 1 centeral site that is the sup, mp, fsp, pxe, and most of the other rolles except for the DB thats on another machine.my environment is different so here is a bit of background. i have the current server in a child domain with an empty root except for 2 DC that run DNS for everything. i have 5 other forests in which i have clients installed and reporting in. no for the issue. my poor server seems to be so slow and the cpu is working kind of hard so i wanted to give it some relief...by moving some of the roles off. i have 6 major sites and was thinking about placing a MP there in each of them with a SUP point that point back to central. now i dont want to do secondary sites, want to keep the licensing down, but i have a few old servers i can use. is this possible? can you tell me excatly what steps are needed to get this done. i have extend the schema in the domain where the sccm server but no the others, is this neccessary? i have added the sccm server to the domain admins group in the other domains, due to a DP issue, this is the only way it works. i have network access account setup and a user in each domain for installing clients. if this is possible what groups would i have to add the MP to? i can remember that there is one or two but not sure. any help be great. also we have these machines in datacenters, now 2 of them are together in a datacenter, they are DP's and come from different forests. i am wondering if having them in different forest might be causing the erro in manifest i get when downing updates to the machines. i am trying to make this alot more simpler. so please any advice short of installing secondary sites is greatly appreciated. the reason for that is management doesnt want to have extra cost. would an MP in each of the 6 sites help? i have attached my quick overview of what we have an open to suggestion, but i doubt it will change. i have another Visio drawing for the sites as well. if you would like to see that quick drawing let me know. Each triangle is a seperate forest
