danehbear Posted March 1, 2011 Report post Posted March 1, 2011 Hello, Our shop is running SMS 2003 R2 SP3 and we're considering upgrading to SCCM; but which version we upgrade to depends on whether there will be an upgrade path from SMS 2003 to 2012 or not. Any ideas? Much appreciated. SCCM 2012 is still in beta,expected to be released in 3rd quarter this year and it is recomended to upgrade the exisiting SMS environment to SCCM 2007 (R3). You have 2 methods(Inplace and side by side) in upgrading SMS to SCCM 2007 and organisation have to decide which one to choose .
