First thing first .. I want to congradulate AnyWeb, your work on your website has made my SCCM environment to grow in the right direction, I respect expertise & best practice !
a month ago, we installed SP2 to our SCCM enviroment. Numerous problems occured and I managed to fix some pxe issue and what not. But im very puzzled now ..
Heres the situation.
Since the update, if a computer is present in the database, I simply can't "import computer information" to a OSD collection, Nothing happends. I realised that deleting the computer from the DB would allow me to "import computer information" in the right collection and this where the pxe nightmare would start. If I would wait a few hours eventually the computer would pxe boot. For a week now Ive tryed to troubleshoot the pxe issue, by building a new server as a pxe role. I realise that deleting the computer from the DB was a mistake and I am now trying to figure out why, since the update to SP2 it is not possible to "import computer information"
I am login to my SCCM server as a domain admin account and have full rights to the collection im trying to import to
I have tryed to verify some logs in order to see whats happening when I import computer information, if I get a access denied or any kind or hints to help me figure out the solution, so far ive seen 1 lot with information regarding the collection, im not sure if this is link to my problem
-log : colleval.log
-from that log I get a load of these :
-Preparing to check collections, and synchronize child sites.
-**********~Processing file 00100040.UDC_
-Collection 00100040 not found.
I know before the SP2 update I use to never delete anything from the DB but instead go to property of the collection and delete the membership rule, but that is not working at all anymore.
Any hint or tips would be so appreciated, except for that, once my computer boot from pxe, my SCCM environement works well. I am very anxious to fix this issue.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my thread.
