HOW GET DATA FROM COMPUTER

Question

Hi all, i have TaskSequences for Deploy OS on new computer/refresh OS/replacement, but what can i do, if on our department come older Computer with corrupted OS/registry and dont boot to OS?? If Computer boot to OS, so its fine, i can use REPLACEMENT TS, but if dont?? Again using Sym.Ghost for save DATA partition and deploy on new Computer? Thanx for your tips and experiences

Just tossing out my two cents... If the PC can't boot normally, then personally, I'd do it manually to make sure I get everything that's needed. That, and I can try to figure out why it won't boot. For example, if it got hit with a virus, then I'd be leery of letting anything automated run on it to copy off the data.

 

Otherwise I suppose you could boot into WinPE and run USMT from offline. I think there's a good guide for this on this site somewhere...

. How set it if i wanna move data to another computer? use offline ts which helps me keep data on same computer, reinstall os and then replace TS? too complicated, no?
