New image on reboot

Question

Hi windows-noob,

We have a Windows Server 2003 R2 with WDS server running with the ability to capture and deploy images to prestaged workstations via PXE boot. It also has an image of WinPE which we use with a script that automatically starts an unattended clean installation of Windows XP.

But we wan't to be able to deploy an image on a workstation remotely, through Active Directory for example. We want to be able to let "Workstation 1" get a new image on next reboot, or each friday, something along those lines.

How can we achieve this? What software do we need for it?

Thanks in advance!

you should look into SCCM then, because it can do that no problem via collections and OSD

plenty of guides right here but be warned it's a steep learning curve at first

cheers
