When I image 15 computers at a time everything works great. When I try to image 20+ I will get the following error. 0X80070040. the http 405 and 500 show up on every computer. Any ideas.

The specified network name is no longer available. (Error: 80070040; Source: Windows)]LOG]

 

 

Check the above Error messges(Network Access Account specified). the generic Error 80070040 says "The specified network name is no longer available."

Thanks for the reply Eswar does it make sense that I can do about 15-18 computers fine but when I add more 20-30 I get these errors? Is it possible that the NAA account is reaching a connection limit? Today I will reset the password and try again.

Also when I do an ipconfig /all when the error occurs it has a 169.x.x.x address. But it does have DNS, DHCP, Gateway, etc.

169.x.x.x is local IP address which will not have communication to anyother computers in network. Can you check if it has any network issues not only about NAA account. If the computer looses network cconnection,you will see such type of errors .

80070040 says --The specified network name is no longer available.This is surely because of network disturbances,.

Old topic but just in case someone else has this issue, here was our problem\ fix

 

network team were migrating DHCP service to new servers and had changed the DHCP lease time to 5min, WINPE is unable to renew during download, so build was loosing it's connection, as highlighted in the logs.

 

This could be confirmed in CMD prompt, had an address , after failure no IP Address, and then running Ipconfig \renew , address was renewed.

 

Hope this helps someone else.
