i got it to work with a new Server 2008 Standard R2

do i follow the step to delegate permission to the primary site server as well as CAS server.

And is it fine i do that step since i missed it earlier after all the other steps are done.

i.e i have installed both CAS and primary site.

I do not realy get your question... The only thing you have to do is to update the installed SQL Components with CU14.

Peter is right. I followed the guide to complete the install. Everything is working fine.

 

I am running SQL 2008 SP1 CU14.

 

This is the only one you have to install from CU 14

Thanks Anyweb, the most comprehensive gudei I've seen, and I'm optimistic this may actually get SCCM installed.

 

I've one further question. The reason I'm installing SCCM 2012 is to use MS ForeFront 2012, and this I believe required WSUS

 

Can I simply follow the guide here http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/485-how-to-install-wsus-3-0-sp1/ and istall WSUS 3SP2 on my SCCM server?

Yes you can just follow that link, as the requirements for WSUS are still the same.
