No Software shown in Software Catalog

Recommended Posts

Hy folks

I've got a little problem.. or i hope it's not a big one :)

I've just installed SCCM 2012. After installation of the following roles I can see the Software Catalog Website

- Application Catalog Web Service Point

- Application Catalog Web Site Point

Now, i deploy a Software as "Available" for all Users. With this settings i should see this Software in Software Catalog. Or not?

Now in the Monitor i can se that there are 3 Components with Status critical:

- SMS_AWEBSVC_CONTROL_MANAGER

- SMS_HIERARCHY_MANAGER

- SMS_PORTALWEB_CONTROL_MANAGER

Sorry for my english

thanks for your help!

When you say software do you mean a package or an application? Only Applications are visible in the software catalog - you need to create the application, distribute it, then deploy it (not deployment type) and it will show up.

There's a good little guide here : http://wibier.me/?p=104

*edit* just noticed you mentioned errors in those components - what do they say?

Cheers,

Matt

You can also see Packages in the Software Catalog but you have to advertise it to a User Collection. If you log in with a user of these collection you will the advertised package.

if they are still not working, uninstall the roles, then reinstall the roles as in Step 4 here pay close attention to how you decide http versus https, which did you choose and if http did you manually choose port 80, if not, it will fail
