Script to delete from user profie Win 7

I'm trying to do a very basic operation - that is - delete a shortcut that we do not want on the desktop. The file is located at C:\Users\Desktop\Username\File.lnk. When I try to do this scriptomatically, I get access denied. What do I need to do to accomplish this by script? Thanks, Tobias.

I would try to delete it from the all users, or run with user rights.

Did you double-check your path? That's not the correct path to the desktop folder. So maybe you just have a typo.....?
