peled Posted May 29, 2011 Report post Posted May 29, 2011 Hello We just installed a new SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 server. When distributing application to clients, it takes a long long time to dowload source to the Cache. The server is working fine accept this issue. Any direction to check this? Thanks Peled
waingro Posted May 31, 2011 Report post Posted May 31, 2011 The speed of downloads can be regulated through BITs settings. Maybe this article will help: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc720428(WS.10).aspx You also need to verify that your network is not congested and that the client has proper bandwidth to perform these operations. As for me and mine, I choose to run the advertisement directly from the server. This results in a much faster install time since the package is not downloaded to the client first. This approach also keeps from running into space issues on the client since the client cache is limited by default. HTH. I'm migrating from an old SCCM site that is still working and i have no problem with clients that working (in the same environment) set to the old server. any other ideas? Peter van der Woude Posted June 12, 2011 Report post Posted June 12, 2011 Did you take a look at the client logs (like the CAS.log)?
