Collection Query Problem

Hi

 

We currently build collections based on AD User group, then advertise and target that collection, easy enough. I now need to add to that, and expand the query that it not only builds the collection on AD User group, but also Operating System and Processor archtitecture . EG AD group = GroupABC , WIndows XP, x64. I'm sure it's achievable with some sort of query \sub query. The 2 queries below are the ones that essentially should be joined or merged... hopefully someone can assist.

 

select useg.usergroup_name0

from v_R_UserGroup useg

where Useg.Usergroup_Name0 like 'xxxxxx%'

 

select SYS.Name0, sys.user_Name0

from v_r_system sys

join v_GS_PROCESSOR PRO on PRO.resourceID = SYS.ResourceID

join v_GS_OPERATING_SYSTEM OP on OP.resourceID = SYS.resourceID

where PRO.AddressWidth0 like '32%'

AND OP.Caption0 like 'Microsoft Windows 7%'

the first query will result all users from AD sec group but the sec query will result computers...

 

you can not create a collection in this way AFAIK.

 

what are you trying to do with this ? (creating collection to list users and computers )
