F1Online Posted June 24, 2011 Report post Posted June 24, 2011 Hi, I'm new to SCCM and thanks to the guide provided here I managed to install and use sccm for testing fairly sucesfully until now. I could use some help with the windows updates deploying. I have created three device collections one with xp clients one with win2k8 servers and one for win7 clients. I have setup WSUS as in de guide provided here and my database is filled with software updates, however they are not downloaded yet. Then I went to the Software library and created an automatic deployment rule for the xp client collection. As criteria i chose severity as critical and important. What I don't understand is the setting in the deployment package and namely the package source. with WSUS in place i thought i had to set this to mij SCCM server \WSUS share as WSUS downloads the updates to this point. When I look at Monitoring Content status I can see that the XP updates packages has succesfully been distributed, but had 0 bytes. I fail to get the updates in the package but i can't understand why. Help is appreciated
F1Online Posted June 24, 2011 Report post Posted June 24, 2011 I should also note that when I donwload an update from the all software updates and go to the process, I get an error on downlaoding the update. It tells me error:access denied
F1Online Posted June 24, 2011 Report post Posted June 24, 2011 seems my sharing permissions weren't right for the \WSUS folder
