Failed to image HP 2540p Elitebook

Question

We are trying to image HP 2540p Elitebook laptops and we are getting this error message:

 

Failed to Run Task Sequence.

An error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x80070002). For more information please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator.

 

SMSTS Log shows failure in Network – No DHCP address is given after PE Starts.

 

CustomPE Image is failing on one network card driver for sure.

I'd recommend deleting the existing driver out of the console, as well as on the filesystem.

 

Then, download the latest driver directly from Intel, import it, assign it to your WinPE boot image, and perform an update on your boot images.
