Create Bootable Media to Deploy Win 7

Question

Hello,

I need a help here. I have a built image of Win 7 Ent. I have deployed the OS with Bootable media and through PXE to many baremetal PCs. But we got new set of PCs almost the same model like the image I already have only the NIC has changed. I downloaded and injected the NIC drivers into SCCM OSD tools. I can deploy Win 7 to the new PCs through PXE but whenever I tried to create a bootable media, it fails all the time. I need to create a bootable media with the new NIC driver so that the bare metal pcs could connect to the SCCM server.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Abassydo

You add the NIC driver to the SCCM driver repository. After that you add it to the chosen boot image in the SCCM console. Once you do that you generate a new .ISO file from the SCCM console and then use that to create the physical boot media (CD/DVD/USB). If you want more details than that, post and I'm sure one of us can toss out some more specific steps for you...
