Make collection based on TS successful?

I would like to make a collection of computers that have executed successfully a task sequence. Is this possible?

In theory yes, it's possible, but you'll probably have to deploy a script + MOF edit in order to achieve this. The script deployed to client workstations would need to identify the appropriate registry key under:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Mobile Client\Software Distribution\Execution History\System\<PackageID>\<GUID>

 

... and write it to WMI somewhere. Then, you'd need to add the WMI class to your SMS_DEF.mof for reporting purposes.

Hi,

 

if the task sequence is installing a software, just query for the ProductID in AddRemovePrograms, for several Products chain it with "and".

You are still limited by the software inventory schedule though, which will give you a delay of several days.
