donbroxson1 Posted August 1, 2011 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 I am trying to deploy SQL2008 with SP1 slipstreamed as a package. The package deploys to the target server with no issues, but it then runs the installer. At this point the system just sits there for a long time then fails. The installer wants you to acknowledge that SP1 must be installed after the installer completes. Is there a way to auto answer the installer so app will run with out intervention? Also I have not been able to get the installer to auto deploy and run installer. have had to run from the System Configuration client window. Any ideas? Thanks
Trevor Sullivan Posted August 2, 2011 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 This link should help you find the appropriate parameters to pass to the SP1 installer. Create a batch file and test out the silent installation on a machine manually before deploying it through SCCM, to save yourself time during testing. Hope this helps.
