SCCM 2007 R3 advertisment to Users not working

Question

Hello,

I have a task sequence to install two applications advertised to a collection. The collection is configured to use AD security groups, one for users and one for computers. Any computer in the group sees the advertisement and installs both applications correctly. I see the user accounts in the collection properly, and when logged into a machine that is not part of the computer group, I see the advertisement. However, when I run it, the job always fails for the user accounts. Below is the Status Message Details. I get a Message ID 11135, but have not been able to find anything useful on the topic. Anyone have thoughts?

First thing, you can't advertise task sequences to users only to computers.

Second thing, your program probably needs user input, see also: http://technet.micro...y/bb735865.aspx

E_FAIL_USER_REQUIRED - 0x80008014 - This error code is returned to task sequence manager when an “Install Software” step cannot be run because the software distribution program in this step is targeted to a user, requires user input or is set to run in user context

User input required.

I can't advertise task sequences to users? I thought I could. Is it that I can only advertise programs to users? Is there a way to get a task sequnce to any computer that a user logs into, or am I stuck with pushing only to machines? I can advertise the programs seperately, I was just hoping to have the controls availble in a task sequence.
