pigbloke Posted September 16, 2011 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 Hi I recently set up SCCM 2007 R3 SP2 at our company. OS deployment, Software deployment and windows updates are all working perfectly, thanks in large part to the excellent guides on this site (thank you very much for those). Now it turns out we are about to open another office in another part of the country. We will have a DC/file server on site and connection via WAN link. Obviously I would like to be able to use OSD, Software deployment and windows updates via SCCM at this new office. My first thought was to install a Branch Distribution Point on the remote server, but I'm not entirely sure this will be the optimum method. I assume software deployment and windows update packages would work ok via a BDP but would I have any problems performing OSD? Would I be better employed creating a secondary site and installing a standard DP on the remote server? If I do install a standard DP, will I require an additional SCCM license? Thanks Nick
