Run Synchronisation button missing from Update Repository

Question

I am trying to update the packages i can deploy and I noticed that my button on the top right which said "Run Synchronisation" is gone.

It was there originally and I was able to get updates (and I still am getting updates automatically)

I am unable to right click and update either.

I know it should look like this.

I don't have any proxy settings in update point.

I just uninstalled WSUS and reinstalled WSUS but the same issue persists.

When I try to deploy a package it says "All software in this selection are expired or metadata-only. The deployment cannot be created."

I was able to fix the first part of my issue with the sync button missing

Remove software update point -> re-adding software update point and making sure that there is a check in this box fixed it.

I still have an issue where it says "All software in this selection are expired or metadata-only. The deployment cannot be created."

Any ideas where I should look?
