Mur Posted October 20, 2011 Report post Posted October 20, 2011 I am trying to update the packages i can deploy and I noticed that my button on the top right which said "Run Synchronisation" is gone. It was there originally and I was able to get updates (and I still am getting updates automatically) I am unable to right click and update either. I know it should look like this. http://www.windows-n...-1229464523.jpg
0 Peter van der Woude Posted October 21, 2011 Report post Posted October 21, 2011 That's weird... How do your Software Update Point (Component) settings look like?
0 Mur Posted October 21, 2011 Report post Posted October 21, 2011 I don't have any proxy settings in update point. I just uninstalled WSUS and reinstalled WSUS but the same issue persists. When I try to deploy a package it says "All software in this selection are expired or metadata-only. The deployment cannot be created." 0 Peter van der Woude Posted October 22, 2011 Report post Posted October 22, 2011 I actually meant the settings under Component Configuration.
0 Mur Posted October 24, 2011 Report post Posted October 24, 2011 I was able to fix the first part of my issue with the sync button missing Remove software update point -> re-adding software update point and making sure that there is a check in this box fixed it. http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/uploads/monthly_05_2009/post-1-1242386546.jpg I still have an issue where it says "All software in this selection are expired or metadata-only. The deployment cannot be created." Any ideas where I should look?
0 Mur Posted October 27, 2011 Report post Posted October 27, 2011 I also fixed this by uninstall WSUS and during the uninstall removing everything. After that you can reinstall, get all of the updates again and they work.
