daveinhb Posted November 17, 2011 Report post Posted November 17, 2011 I have two SCCM installations in one domain. The first installation (SMS01) was built by my predecessor. It originally was installed as SMS and then upgraded to SCCM. The schema was extended during the SMS installation. The SMS01 server is permissioned on the Systems Management container and it contains 2 SMS01 folders and several items for this installation. The second installation is SCCM (SCCM01) which has been upgraded to R3. This is totally separate from the first installation. I don’t believe I need to extend the schema because the schema was extended during the SMS01 installation. None of the boarders overlap and so far almost everything is working. I now need the active directory discovery to work for SCCM01. I believe all I have to do is add SCCM01 to the System Management container permissions. I want to know if SCCM01and SMS01 will co-exist or do I have to remove SMS01 for everything to work. Eventually I will be getting rid of SMS01. Peter van der Woude Posted November 18, 2011 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 They can exist next to eachother, just make sure that you don't have any overlapping boundaries.
