The drivers folder is created in the local drive of the server and its shared.
Downloaded the drivers for Toshiba Tecra A3 which were missing after the Os installation i,e. Video Controller, Mass communication controller, Audio, Network Controller.
Please it in a folder named Toshiba Tecra A3 under Drivers folder which is shared.
Apart from network controller the other three drivers are zip files and are extracted and kept in the same fodler and the network controller is .exe file.
Now in the console right click on drivers and cliked on IMPORT drivers. selected the toshiba tecra A3 folder (\\Server IP\Drivers\Toshiba Tecra A3) then all the drivers were listed and checked and also the option ENABLE these drivers to allow them to compuyters was also checked.
Did not create any category----Next.
Add New package---Toshiba Tecra A3, Driver Package source---(\\server IP\Drivers\Toshiba Tecra A3) , now my question am is supposed to give the same path or create a new sharing folder and give that path in driver package source???? Going ahead with the same path where drivers are located.
The Name Toshiba Tecra A3 is listed with package ID---Next.....Selected the Boot Imagex86 and clicked on Next.
The drivers were successfully added to the boot image. The boot image was updated on the Distribution point and the drivers were injected onto the boot image. The driver package was also copied onto the distribution points successfully.
Once i click on the Drivers in the console and selected Toshiab Tecra A3 it shows all the Drivers which has just been copied . Screenshot attached.
Task sequence is created and driver package is added just after the Install Device drivers option and before the setup windows and config mgr. The advertisement report status of this TS shows Accpeted- No Furthus Status.
If the OS deployment is done without Driver Package the OS is installed with 4 missing drivers mentioned above. Please advice!
