Damien Posted November 25, 2011 Report post Posted November 25, 2011 Hi Guys We had 4 site servers and recently we deconditioned one server. I have removed this server from the Site systems list after removing all the roles that was on the server. The problem is, application packaged still have this DP (DP used to be on that server) listed under the package DP points. When I try to go to Manage Distribution points and try to delete the package from that DP, the DP is not listed in there. And also in the Site System Status SMSPXEIMAGES$ is listed there for that server. Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks. Peter van der Woude Posted November 25, 2011 Report post Posted November 25, 2011 Happens a lot, as it's often forgotten to first remove the packages from a DP... Take a look here for a solution: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1703-howto-remove-orphan-distribution-points/

wmmayms Posted December 21, 2011 Report post Posted December 21, 2011 To find the exact reason for this error would proberbly take a while (would surely involve alot of log digging).. Easiest solution is proberbly to setup a new DP with the exact same name, let it rest over night and then perform a clean demote.
