Management Point not Receiving Hardware Inventory Bits Error 501 IIS Error

Hi,

 

I'm receiving the following error in the IIS log on the Management Point:

x1.x.x.x = MP

x2.x.x.x = Client

 

This error resuls in the management point not recieving any hardware inventory information

 

I feel that I've tried everything to resolve this.

 

1) Removed BITS and Re-installed

2) Checked CCM_Incoming permissions and they are correct

3) Re-installed SCCM Client on Client PC

4) Cleared BITS Payload

5) Client MP check - This was ok

 

Please can anyone suggest anything else to try?

OK, found the issue. BITS was not enabled on the CCM_Incoming directory, hence the 501 error.

 

The hardware/software inventory info is still failing to come back to the site server, so I intend removing the management point and reinstalling it. Hopefully this will fix the issue

Removing the management point, re-installing, and then clearing the BITS jobs on the client fixed the issue
