it-easy Posted December 14, 2011 Report post Posted December 14, 2011 Hi @ all, at first, sorry 4 my bad english language skill. Okay, here's my problem: I've installed the SCCM 2012 RC on a Hyper-V- machine running W2K8 R2. The machine is member of a Windows 2008 R2 domain. Funktion level of domain and fores is Windows Server 2008 R2. During the installation, I've some problems to install KB2603910. I've install SQL Server 2008 SP2+CU6, but I can't install the KB2603910 But that's not my biggest problem, a look in Technet says, I can use SQL 2008 R2 to. Really? My real problem is the PXE-bug. I followed the instruction here in this forum to fix the problem sucessfully. But if I reboot my SCCM server, the PXE-bug is back and the service hangs on "Starting ..." These instructions helps me only temporally, and I can't deinstall der DP-Role and the WDS after every Reboot. Does anyone an idea where I can locate and resolve this problem? n00blar Posted December 16, 2011 Report post Posted December 16, 2011 This is a known bug in RC1 and MS has closed the case, so I'm assuming it should be fixed in RC2 (if there is one). What I do, before restarting the server, is disable PXE from the Distribution Point role - yes, it's a pain, but it's the only way I've found to go around this problem. Once you disable PXE from the DP role then the service will start properly and you can then re-enable it.
it-easy Posted December 16, 2011 Report post Posted December 16, 2011 Sh*t, I hoped, there's another solution. But 4 my understanding... With "disable PXE from DP ..." do U mean only uncheck the option, or disable PXE, uninstall WDS and DP-Role?
