Das Posted December 18, 2011 Report post Posted December 18, 2011 Hi SCCM guys, I have been trying to fix OSD boot driver issue from last one month in my test lab but still no luck.i would request to have your assistance on this to fix this.I am using this lab to test SCCM 2012 OSD and migration from sccm 2007 Lab config: VMware 8 there are 2 servers Server 1 ( SCCM 2007 ) - sccm 2007 server and also have DHCP role which gives IP to client Server 2 ( SCCM 2012 ) - working as SCCM 2012 server which serves as PXE server. when i boot the osd client from network they got IP from DHCP ( server 1) and load PE to a point, then reboots after the "Preparing Network Connections" ..i checked the client log(smsts.log) and found some errors as shown below.. "pxegetpxedata failed with 0x80004005" and "failed to download pxe variable file.Code(0x00000001)" and when i give command "IPconfig" in client.. it doent give the IP details it just says "Windows IP CONFIGRATION" I went through some technet forum and came to know that issue is with network driver so used the same driver (inf file) from the sccm 2012 server thinking it will work for osd clients also but no luck.. i imported the inf file to both default boot images and updated the DP's and tried again but still failed. Then i imported network drivers of my physical machine but again failed... then from osd clients command prompt(F8).. i opened the file location( X:\windows\inf\ )and found the driver which i imported "nete1g3e.inf" alredy there but not sure why its still failing ..so i manually loaded the network driver using drvload command.after that i tried initiating wpeinit but nothing happened...i tried to give command "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" but getting error "the operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation".I am not sure how to make osd client to get IP from DHCP again and to initiate task sequence from command prompt... Now i am stuck at this point and not sure how to fix this ...I would request your suggetion on this or i am glad to have a teamviewer session if you are ok for that
