MDT integrated OSD TS or Basic SCCM OSD TS

Hello All,

 

First off I would like to say thanks for all the great knowledge, I am a former Altiris Admin who is setting up SCCM for the first time and i would not have been able to do it without this site and its awesome guides.

 

One question I have is that alot of the guides I see describing how to do the cool stuff within task sequences look like they are using the MDT integrated task sequences. So I was wondering when I setup a new OS deployment task sequence should I be looking to use the MDT integrated task sequences or can the regular SCCM OSD task sequence do most of the same things?

A regular task sequence can do the same thing. The only difference is that a MDT integrated task sequence already has a lot of MDT steps preconfigured.
