radam Posted January 18, 2012 Report post Posted January 18, 2012 Hi All, Whenever I "update distribution" of my boot images, either the x64 or x86, the update does not complete successfully. Any ideas as to why this is? The dismgr.log file is attached. charlieintegral Posted April 19, 2012 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 I solved. Remove distribution point role; Remove WDS role; remove all folders of distribution folders and WDS. (SMSPKGE$, SMSSIG$, SCCMContentLib, RemoteInstall); Reboot Server; reinstall all roles; Redistribute packages.
andrewcraig Posted July 2, 2012 Report post Posted July 2, 2012 This error will occur if the data source file path is too long. This is because SCCM creates a copy of the wim file with a random name , which is itself much longer than the actual wim file name - this can cause the file path to exceed the maximum length. Reinstalling roles and features should not be necessary.
