Print Driver Package SCCM

Has anyone had any experience deploying an “all-in-one” print driver package with SCCM? Our idea is to remove the need for Admin credentials when pulling down the driver from the print server. I am assuming SCCM has this capability I am just unsure how to deploy. (i.e. Custom MSI, just deploy INF files etc.) Any suggestions?

You should be able to configure Windows 7 to install print drivers as non-admins. Here's an article that should help you out:

I had looked into that, but I just like the ability to deploy all the drivers as a package to every workstation. That way SCCM is pumping it down using BITS as opposed to the workstation pulling the drivers down at will.

what does the package look like if you download it from the vendor?

Well I have made a neat little collection of INF driver files or "good drivers". In an ideal situation I could make a custom package and inject them into the workstations. So when the user goes to add a printer, it finds the drivers locally.
