Clients GUID changed, but not in sccm

Question

Hi,

i have a sccm 2007 R2 server and a client (windows 2008 R2 server).

The client GUID begins with F1... but in the SCCM database the clients GUID begins with E3...

I have no idea why the guid changed, but i can't deploy any packages to my client. can i re register my client to the sccm server with any command on the client? Or have somebody any other ideas?

Should i reinstall the client?

I deleted the smscfg.ini file and restarted the service. The file would be created again but at the moment, there is only the hardware id available in the config file. the sms unique id is missing. i will be waiting till tomomorrow.

Thx
